With this visa, you can:

  • visit family or friends

  • be here as a tourist, for a cruise, or for purposes other than business or medical treatment

You must:

  • intend to come to Australia to visit only

  • have enough money for your stay in Australia

  • not work in Australia

  • you must be outside Australia when you apply and when we decide your visa

    • Government Fee of AUD195 will be collected as this is required to lodge your application

1. Check your eligibility and secure your appointment slot

Attend the initial consultation and assessment for eligibility. Choose your desired schedule at the embassy and pay to secure your slot.

3. Submit Biometric at the Australian Biometric Collection Center

After GetYourVisa arranges for your embassy appointment, show up at the specified date and time for biometric collection.

    • Passport copy. A copy of the information pages of your valid, signed passport with at least 6 months validity from the intended date of travel

    • Bio-page (clear scan in color)

    • Usually 1-2 photos following standard specifications (though often only a digital copy is required for online applications)

    • All sections filled accurately and honestly

    • You will find an easy-to-use application form here on our website

    • Bank statements (3-6 months) showing consistent transactions and a sufficient balance to cover trip expenses

    • Pay slips, employment contracts, Certificate of Employment, Income Tax Return (ITR)

    • If self-employed, business registration documents and financial statements

    • Travel itinerary or flight booking details (not necessarily paid, just a tentative itinerary)

    • Hotel reservations or accommodation details

    • If visiting family/friends, an invitation letter including host’s details, relationship, and address

    • Employment letter confirming leave approval and return-to-work date

    • Business ownership documents (if self-employed)

    • Documents showing property ownership (land titles, car registration)

    • Marriage certificate, birth certificates of children or dependents to show family ties

    • Previous travel history (visa stamps from other countries)

    • Insurance coverage details (travel health insurance)

    • Any supporting documents that strengthen your case (membership in professional organizations, enrollment in ongoing studies)
